Eulogio, Thanks. Yes, the path is set in startup-sequence/user-startup. The only other path problem I have ever had was, ironically, the APAssist command used by Autopilot's Help system. Even though it was in a directory in the path, that wasn't good enough. It had to be in C:, even though there was nothing that visibly required that. I have an Installer program in the second directory that is contained in my definition of C:. Clicking on the Install-AReport icon yeilds "Unable to load your tool 'Installer'" even though the default tool is "Installer" with no path. Tab Trepagnier Cruising on AutoPilot from Beaumont, Texas

Tab, What about the assign statement adding CC: to C:, is that before the path statement, or after? Maybe that might be an issue. Just fishing here, as the only experience with multiple directory assigns is the Fonts: assign for PageStream3, and that seems to work OK. Eulogio, Thanks very much for your help. I mean that. But NO, let's NOT keep digging. All I wanted to do was read a newsletter, and now three days and 16 messages later I no longer have any interest. At this point, I couldn't care less if Amiga Report evaporated from the face of the earth. If, in the future, the author stooped to include all the files in his distribution that the files distributed REFER TO, I might rekindle my interest. But at this point, I have had enough.
