Pioneer 602x problems

Do any of you use the Pioneer DRM 602X 6 pack CD ROM system? If so what driver
software are you using?
I am getting just a little annoyed with this thing! Here is my setup:
A3000 with a NEC 3xe, 2 Fujistu 1.2 gig drives and a Quantum 52 meg on
the SCSI bus. I have everything terminated properly and all of the
ID's are different. I also have the controller enabled for multiple
LUN support.
What my problem is … is the 602X will cause the SCSI bus to just
lock up out of the blue from time to time when you are using it. The
CD ROM will be in use on a BBS and I can't live in the office all day
and night.
The current driver that I am using is the Xetec CDx driver version
2.0
I would appreciate any info or ideas.
P.S. This is an older A3000. I am not sure which rev mother board I
have but I believe it has the -9 Super DMAC chip in it and the
standard Western Digital SCSI controller chip.

It's really out of my league, but:
Does the 602X look like 1 SCSI address or 6? Or are they the same address
but different LUN's?
Have you tried disconnecting everything but the boot drive and the 602X?
It sound sort of like termination troubles, but I presume that "with a NEC
3xe, 2 Fujistu 1.2 gig drives and a Quantum 52 meg on the SCSI bus" you
are already knowledgable about such things <g>.

Thanks for a reply. I have the drive setup as SCSI ID 4 with six logical units
to that ID. I also used the PD utility SCSI_Prefs to select mutli LUN support
on my A3000.
I am currently playing with a program called AmiCDROM and it actually seems to
be working! I think Xetec blew their cookies on their program. The one thing
I dont like and can not have at all, since I am running a BBS, is their
software throws requestors up for just about any old thing. The AmiCDROM
program works really nice and uses the DOS buffers that you assign for it etc..
All in all it looks like the cure.
