I suspect that the creditors are not particularly excited about any
of the current offers for rights to the Amiga and any other remaining
asset because all of the offers are such a small percentage of the
total debt that they are going to eat. If the estimates of debt in
the $300 million + range are correct the highest numbers I have seen
as a purchase price are much less than 10% of the debt. There isn't
much for them to get excited about particularly if there are any
onerous warranties or other representations in the purchase deal that
may come back to bite them later. They may feel they are better off
taking the full hit now and lettin the beast die.
P.S. The three big questions for 1995:
1. Will the Amiga be revived?
2. Will there be major league baseball?
3. If/when there is either will there still be anyone around who cares?
