Tom, Tonight when I logged on I counted five E-mails from you regarding my problem with the ArtZ tablet being usable on only a small (approximately 2"X3") area of the ArtZ tablet. Some of these replies clearly are agitated and irrate. I also had a message from you on my voice mail at work. I was not able to spare time from work to answer your voice mail. While I am pleased with your response, I am puzzled by the number of replies and the irritancy you express toward my complaint. I wrote one E-mail on this forum requesting help from anyone who had been able to get the ArtZ tablet to work with Alpha Paint. I received replies from two or three folks and answered them. I went out of my way to actually praise Alpha Paint as a very worthwhile program. I paid for Alpha Paint and ordered it directly from InnoVison. I have never pirated a single piece of Amiga software and I do not understand why you raised the issue of pirating software in your E-mails. I sent you a fax one week ago describing my problems with the Wacom ArtZ tablet and Alpha Paint. Someone pointed out that you were at the VT Expo and would be gone for a week. I did not, therefore, expect a reply from you until today. I'll summarize my situation easily. I began the process of trying to order a drawing tablet over a month ago by phoning you at InnoVision. You indicated that you were working on a tablet/driver combination that would work with Alpha Paint and indicated that you would call me back. After three weeks of waiting to hear from you, I called HT Electronics with whom I have done a good deal of business to see if they could help. They indicated that they had a Wacom tablet on order and that when it came in they would check it out with Alpha Paint and call to let me know if it worked. A couple of weeks more went by and I called HT again on this issue. They indicated that you were dropping by their store with a driver which was expected to work with the tablet they had. Another week or so went by and I called HT again. They indicated that they were having some problems getting the driver to work but that they were still working on the problem with you and expected to solve it. About two weeks ago, I received a call from HT saying that they had worked out the problems and that the tablet (which turned out to be the ArtZ tablet) and driver (which turned out to be the AccuPoint driver were "working beautifully" with Alpha Paint. I said fine, ship it to me and paid $499 for the Wacom ArtZ tablet and $99 for the Accupoint driver by Trimedia. When I received the tablet and driver, I found that it would not work at all with Alpha Paint. Any attempt to run the Accupoint driver with Alpha Paint simply locked up my A4000. I called HT and they were dumbfounded and assured me that they had tested the combination in their store. They checked with InnoVison, and apparently the problem was determined to be the fact that I had the 10/24/94 version of AP rather than the 11/16/94 version. They promised that Innovision would contact me. Innovision did not contact me so 24 hours later I called Innovision. I was told that Innovision had sent me the 11/24/94 disk by surface mail. I am on the east coast and you are on the west coast so I asked you to send me another disk by overnight air and agreed to pay the freight charge. I received the 11/16/94 version the next day. Some 10 days later I received the surface mail disc which I marked "return to sender" without opening as per your company's instructions. I then discovered that even with the 11/16/94 version only a small portion of the active area of the Wacom ArtZ tablet could be used in Alpha Paint and that is when I posted my message seeking help and sent you the fax. I am grateful that you are working to make the Wacom ArtZ tablet perform correctly with Alpha Paint. I am surprised and offended by the tone of your replies to me. Tom
