I am currently entering the field of Real Estate Video in my area of FT. Lauderdale and I am interested in getting in touch with others doing this. This type of work has been attempted at least twice that I know of in my area and has failed. I believe it has been because of price. I have been in touch with someone doing it in Colorado where the market seems very similar to here where I'm at. In that real estate is in high demand, there are a lot of relocations, and the price range for the listings is about the same- $100,000 and up. One major difference is that my contact in Colorado charges on the average $300 per residential listing and $1500-$3000 for commercial. I haven't had much contact with realtors that handle commercial listings yet but the residential realtors flinch at a $150 price for say a $200,000 listing. I have no problem pricing my services much lower in the beginning to get more exposure, but I am curious what others are doing. Technically I am shooting Hi8 and editing to a SVHS master which includes intro and finishing titles with 24bit background and using a Panasonic WJ-AVE5 for transitions between scenes with narration and music. Again, I'd like to know what others are doing in similar or different real estate markets. Thanks Rick
