Razor for Windows

Joel, The bundled version of Razor is version 1.0 which isn't nearly as powerful or user friendly as the *current* version of Premiere ver. 4, although it is probably on par with Premiere ver.1.0. However, the latest version of Razor is an excellent program (but then it sells for about $800 list). Then again, Adobe has an upgrade deal for Premiere, so that's probably a better value & at least as good of a program,….unless you are a 3D Studio user like myself, and then there's no question…you'll want to go with Razor (which was designed for use with DPS PAR & 3DS). Regarding TrueSpace, all I can say is….If you're really serious about 3D & Animation on the PC, you won't find anything better or more powerful than 3D Studio. But there is quite a learning curve involved. If, however, you just want to dabble in 3D, TrueSpace is a good introduction to the medium (and you can't beat the price). Don't get me wrong, Caligari is a great value, but 3DS is the real thing! It's like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Chevy. I hope this explanation wasn't too confusing! <g> -Scott Lawrence
