Land Use Talk by BLM Geologist… In case anyone is interested (and I sure hope so!) there will be a presentation by Mr. Rob Waiwood (BLM District Geologist in Riverside County) concerning the scope and explaining the effect of the California Desert Protection Act. Mr. Waiwood will be speaking at the Searcher's Gem and Mineral Society, Inc. monthly meeting. The emphasis here will be on the effects of the new law on rock and mineral collecting activities in the desert areas but if anyone has any questions or concerns to express, or want to learn how land use will be affected by the CDPA this is an opportunity learn about it.
