SECAM?

Okay, I thought that CBM just shipped PAL machines into France. I had forgotten about the different forms of SECAM, but that makes sense. COCOM restrictions have become much looser in the last year or so, and if I am not mistaken, Commdore is no longer restricted from shipping Amiga's to Eastern Europe. Early last year (about the time everything was collapsing in Eastern Europe) there were a number of stories in mags about the compute companies jockying for position in the new markets. Commodore should win big, as Germany was their biggest market, and it just grew by leaps and bounds. (Last number I saw was over 800,000 Amigas in Germany, and that Commdore was #2 in sales, behind only IBM.) Thanks for the info. -Chas

Hi Charles Well actually there are more than 1 million Amigas sold in the former FRG (without the GDR) and yes COCOM isn't that restrictive anymore. Many Amigas are also sold in Hungary, from there have been coming a lot of software from Data Becker, in the US sold in english by ABACUS. Bye Mike
