i have heard many brew-ha's on BBSes about the new bodega bay "A500
upgrade. has anyone heard if they are shipping…
if they are shipping, what are the reactions from the users?

I try to drop by my dealer at least once/week to see what's new. To date,
I haven't seen the Bodega Bay, nor seen any message posted here to indicate
that it has started shipping.

David, I have seen the Bodega Bay at Software Etc. in Fairfield Ct. It was
connected and running a Bridgeboard. Their Amiga salesperson said it works
great but DCTV came in at about the same time and he was delving deeply
into the image enhancer. Bodega Bay IS here and, at first glance, it seems
to work okay.
Hold it! was he selling them yet? California Access was selling non-FCC
DEALER DEMO ONLY units a month ago. So seeing one demoed is no suprise, but
ask if it's FCC yet.

I'll call the dealer in a day or so to make sure he is selling the Bodega
Bay. I TEND to think it's the real thing because he just got this unit a
week or two ago.

Thanks for the posting your 'sighting' of the Bodega Bay. It's nice to
know that it is shipping. Let us know if you find out any further details,
especially regarding compatibility issues.
I'll be calling my dealer in a couple of days and I'll ask about Bodega
Bay compatibility.
thanks. i am waiting to make my memory expansion and hard drive choices
until i hear how well this beauty works. if it works 75% as well as they
say, that's not good enough. i want what they promised in their ads… an
upgrade to the A2000! otherwise, i will add to my A500 with A500 specific
peripherals.
Our local dealer got one in about two weeks ago – the order was placed last
fall. The one he got was a non-FCC approved dealer demo unit. He say's
they are still not shipping yet…
