Steve, are there .metric files for any Ami software, or the Ami bit-map
fonts to go with these?

There are no bitmaps included in the archive. You'll have to contact the
uploader about it.

Thanks, Steve. We've had a lot of postscript fonts uploaded lately this
way, typically without any metric files or bitmaps. I just want to make a
generic suggestion to uploaders that if they can legally upload bitmap
screen fonts and an assortment of metric files for the postscript fonts
they upload many of us would find this very useful. Of course, we'd also
find a postscript downloader helpful as well!

Ron,
I am one of those who have been uploading Type 1 fonts that have
downloaded from Soft Logik's BBS. All those archives contain .AFM, .PFB,
and .PFM files for each font. I assumed that these contained outline,
bitmap, and metric information about each font. If I was correct look for
my uploads and you will get the full archive.
BTW PageStream 2.1 doesn't need the bitmaps to render Type 1s to the
screen, but will use them if they are present to speed up the display at
small point sizes.
