Thanks for the info! I now have all of the decompression programs installed in C:. A couple of questions. I'm using Baud Bandit software. Which protocol is best? Also, I can't run CLOAD.DOC. Is there a description somewhere of how to run each 'file.xxx'? Thanks!

Sorry to interrupt in your messages, but I wanted to relate a problem I've had with Baud Bandit using CIS B protocol. It doesn't seem to work like it should on MY system. I get a "protocol initialization failure." when I try to do a CIS B download. I called Progressive Peripherals, but can't get them to call me back with an answer. I don't know if its my hardware (A500 1meg & Goldstar GS2400 modem) or Baud Bandit. If you can get CIS B protocol to work, let me know.

Mark, Baud Bandit's B proto is broken. Try using JRComm or Access. -sja

Broken??? Why did the joker at Progressive Peripherals tell me it should be working? Are they just putting me off or what?

Mark, I should retract that and say "various people have reported that it's B protocol is broken". I have not personally used the program.

James, CLOAD.DOC is a text file. View it with MORE or TYPE it from the CLI. -sja

James, You need to read CLOAD.DOC with a file reader such as MORE from your Workbench. CLOAD.DOC is the file that will tell you how to run the program CLOAD. Betty
