Not long ago, I downloaded a GIF from the Graphics Corner forum. It was a 640X480X256 GIF and it was viewed with ease using HAMGIF. I attempted to convert it to Amiga format using HAMSHARP, as I have done in the past with all GIFs. This time however, it wouldn't convert properly. My assumption is that *this* GIF was in the new 89a format and not the old 87a. If this is true, will there be or is there a new conversion or viewing program for the new format? <David L. David, ASDG's Art Department Professional (ADPro) will load both 87a and 89a GIF images (ADPro manual, section 13.4, p109). I know of no currently available PD or freely distributable program that will convert 89a GIF's. Perhaps someone in the AmigaArts forum might know of such a program. David

DAvid – maybe no one knows the answer? I know that I skipped your message because I don't write such programs and could not speak for those who do. But – I do hope someone can answer. Betty
