TextAttr Help

OK, folks, it's desperation time …
I'm working my way through an Amiga programming book and have hit a
snag. I can't seem to get the TextAttr structure to be recognized in the
programs. For example:
struct TextAttr ItalicFont =
{
(STRPTR) "topaz.font",
TOPAZ_EIGHTY,
FSF_ITALIC,
FPF_ROMFONT
};
struct IntuiText ItalicString =
{
2, 1, JAM2, 1, 1, &ItalicFont, (UBYTE *) "Italics, maybe?", NULL
};
I then use PrintIText to output the IntuiText string and it comes out in
normal mode, no italics. According to the text I'm using, this all should
be enough to get it to work. Actually, I was working in the section on
Menus and was trying to get various text effects in some MenuItems, but
when it didn't work the way it was supposed to I backtracked to something
simpler to try to figure it out.
What simple, obvious, "Look here, stupid" thing am I missing here?
Someone please save what little sanity I have left … Thanks.
Harry
Hi I have some coding I did as a example but I'll be danged if I can figure
out how to post it on the board here. It seems as if there is a limited
line buffer. If you like you can call (206)-384-2591 The Advocates BBS
The example does work very well.
