Mike: Thanks for the advice & help!! It certainly made me smile <grin>!
I've decided that I WILL get an Amiga, but I will save up for higher-level
model, such as the 2500 or 3000. As I mentioned elsewhere, a friend of mine
who had the occasion to talk to a few people from CBM said they told him a
new version of the Amiga will be forthcoming an the next couple months,
sporting an MC68040 and vertically oriented card slots (a la the 2000). The
model number has not been decided upon, he says, but it'll be either A3000+
a couple letters, or simply A3500. Until then, and until I arrange my
finances to pick a really good Amiga system, I'll keep an eye out for new
info & periodically scan the forum here. Thanks for your help, I hope to
talk with you again soon!!

P.S.: You know, 7mHz doesn't sound so bad, when you consider I'm using a
computer that has an 8-bit bus (16 bit internal) — the MC68B09, that
putters along at 1mHz regular, and a blazing 2mHz TURBO (CoCo-3) mode!!
