I just received my DAK catalog and was very interested in the CD/ROM offer.
Just what do I have to have to hook it up? In looking at the back of my
computer, I have several slots, but only one place I can plug anything
in(and I'm not sure what that's for). I need to know more about the cable
and accessories that come with the CD ROM unit. I don't want to purchase it
and then find out I can't plug it in.
I have a 286 IBM compatible clone with EGA graphics and a 40-mb hard drive.
Can you help?

You just need one slot for the interfact card. Everything is included:
interface card, cable and drivers. You'll have it installed and running in
a few minutes.

I'll vouch for what Bryan from DAK said. When I bought my first one, it
somehow came without any docs. I just plugged the board in, hooked up the
cables and ran the setup program on disk 1. No problems at all!
The second drive worked just as well. Now…if they'll just ship those
backordered Mammals, etc….Bryan?

Installation will be simple, but it will involve opening the computer case
to put a card in the slot. THEN you can "plug it in".

be aware that a lot of the CD applications that have graphics require VGA.
