Rick, I've got an Alesis drum machine on order from MAO, and I have some questions. DMCS sends out Midi time info (24pqn), and Midi start and stop messages. Will I be able to program the drum machine using it's internal sequencer and then be able to have the drum machine run at the same time (and in sync) with my DMCS score? OR, will I have to program the drum sounds from DMCS and send the note messages thru midi (yeech!)? In other words, I don't want to have to enter my drum patterns on the DMCS staves in order to make the two (drum machine & DMCS) work together. 24pqn is pretty poor resolution. Assuming the Alesis is capable of higher resolution; I would like to put some drum sounds either slightly ahead or behind the beat. Will I be able to do this (with the HR16's internal sequencer) and still be in sync with DMCS's 24pqn? Apparently, DMCS doesn't receive midi clock info. I realize that a good midi sequencer program would solve these problems but I don't like SoundScape; so I'm waiting for Music X or DR T's to come out with a program (but not holding my breath).
