Rutgers' annual home gardener's school will be held Saturday, March 21 at the Loree Building on the Cook College Campus, from 9-4. Good event; 30 lectures/workshops from which to choose, for $17. A bargain. Some of the topics: Annual Flowers for NJ Gardens, Backyard Composting, Space-Saving Garden Ideas, Lawn Care, Organic Veggie Gardening, Growing Herbs for Potpourri, Starting Plants Indoors, Insects in the Garden, Growing Edible Mushrooms, etc. And of course, since this is the Great Tomato State, Do's and Don'ts of Growing Tomatoes. Register by March 13. Registration forms from Office of Continuing Professional Education, Cook College, P.O. Box 231, New Brunswick, NJ 08903-0231. Phone 908-932-9271; Fax 908-932-8726.
