Hawk Enterprises of Council Bluffs, Inc. has announced a new hand spiking
tool for aerating the lawn. The tool has six spikes, six inches long, made
of zinc plated steel. You thump the thing into the turf to create holes
that allow oxygen access to the roots of the grass plants. Spiking just
makes holes while a core aerator will remove a plug of soil to leave the
hole. Golf courses have been using power spikers for years. This is one
of the first hand spikers to come on to the consumer market. It costs
