Don, The problem is simi-solved. I remove the capasitors and the problem remained however this mornining I realized that the keyboard extension cable I am using must be adding extra capasitance. With the keyboard pluged directly into the machine, it works fine. Now I have to decide which is more important, the extension cable or the first keypress being there. At least I know that these were the correct "caps" to remove. Thanks again for the help. FRANK
