I will be looking for those tips you mention in AmigaUser. The drive has
arrived and assembly is this weekend. I am in the process of rounding up
cables for mounting the internal in an external chasis. The drive is a NEC
CDR-80 that came from DAK. It is a few years old but was a steal at $230
and is amoung the compatible drives listed in CDROM-FS. I will be going by
my local shack to see if they have any of the CDTV titles you mentioned for
testing. Is there any software that I might need to run these that is not
already on the discs themselves? Thanks for all your time and info!
The Xiphias titles contain all sw needed to run them. There was some
compatiblity problems with Workbench 2.0 with some of the titles, i dont
remember what that was. We have corrected the problem in currently shipping
versions. Commodore was also seeking to fix WB to be compatible.
I'll be interested in how many cdtv titles you can find.

Our local dealer doesn't stock CDTV titles anymore but will order any that
I'd like. That doesn't help with the testing process though. The drive is
up and running, although I do experience some boot problems now, even with
the drive off and not being mounted automatically. I have not seen any
tips or threads over in AmigaUser from other cd users. Are there any?
