CD Literature

Thanks for all the kind remarks!! I'll push my luck and point out that the
magazine is monthly and subscription based, in case you would like to
continue receiving it. The February issue contains reviews of about a dozen
CD's, along with all the usual type coverage that we have.
DAK works in a different way than most CD vendors: they do not sell CD's to
anyone who has NOT purchased a drive from them, and there are only a
limited number of CD's available from them. This is the basis on which they
negotiate with CD publishers.
Since most (if not all) other companies do not work that way, their
negotiations with CD publishers would differ significantly. (Which answers
your question about whether all vendors get the same deal.)
The bottom line is that we purchase some (but not all) drives/CD's from a
company that offers bundle prices on CD's at the time a drive is purchased.
This means that generally, you can only get CD's at bundle prices when you
order a drive, because that's how we get them. However, if we end up with
some extra CD's, we can make them available to people who have bought
drives from us in the past and who call/email and ask what we have.
