#JLINK

dEAR sYSOP: I am trying to figure out why JLINK doesn't work for me. I
noticed that my pcprefs are set on D0000 and not E0000 in my DOS 2.04 set
up. Could this be one of the problems? When I try to change the pcprefs to
E0000 I get an error prompt: #80000003. Jlink command works but the moment
I excute it for a link to the Amiga side, the system freezes. I have to
reboot the Amiga to get things going again. I think there is a problem at
the gateway. AREAD, AWRITE, AMOUSE, ATIME,etc works fine. It used to work
when I had a different hard disk and WB 1.2 and MSDOS 3.2. dO you that all
these upgrades and additions have created a compatibility problem. I have
30 megs on my Amiga side that I would like to use on the PC side.
Odell (again)
Odell,
The AT board is supposed to be at D000, the XT board works best at
E000.
Yes, there is a compatability problem with the Amiga side software
and the 2.04 ROM. As you noted, PCPrefs kills the machine on exit.
The only work-a-round I'm aware of at this point in time is to set
things up the way you want them on an Amiga still running 1.2 or 1.3 and
then copy the sys:pc/system directory files onto your machine.
Don
Odell,
There is a problem with the bridgeboard and 2.04. I have read in numerous
messages that you can solve the problem by running Enforcer, which should
be on one of your 2.04 disks.
