Hostas are not good here in the Bay Area because of the snail problem. They
will be full of holes in no time….I have lots of ferns in my garden in
San Francisco. You are welcome to visit (after the rains stop). The
deciduous ferns are just coming up now, and should be in full glory in a
few months.
