Aegis' VideoTitler's VSEG slide show WILL support HAM images (1.1 version,
now shipping). It's a neat trick, you simply put VSEG into HalfBrite mode.
VSEG will recognize a HAM picture (or even a HAM ANIM!!!) and display it in
that mode. However use simple transistions, as some of the transistions
will look weird with HAM. Scrolling will probabilly work just fine.
Bill, great to hear it. If I recall the original question was for a PD
slideshow that supports HAM, those are rare. As to commercial packages,
there are several that handle HAM. I have not seen anything from Aegis
yet, but the Director allows you to do anything to HAM pics that you may do
with regular pictures. However, as you mentioned, some transitions will
look weird due to the HAM artifacting. As always, keep us up to date on
any new products coming from your direction.
