I have completed an evaluation project for myself and the National Park Service using the Amiga for an Interactive display using a touchpanel monitor ( Sony PVM – 1911 ) and laser disc ( Pioneer LD-V4200 or IU-04 interface and LD-700 or equiv. ) plus the A1300 GenLock. To produce the demo, I have written a PILOT interpreter that will be available commercially when debugged and has been sent to Fred Fish in a reduced P.D. version. — Results, for large organizations like USNPS or Fortune 500 companies the established systems are the one — IBM InfoWindow, Sony View are the leaders. The Amiga is quite able to do the job; however, no – one in the U. S. is currently doing much so we are in the never never land. — The genlock fiasco pretty much kept the Amiga from gaining a foothold in this very small market. For any one else interested, the PILOT program I am developing is going to be available and will allow generating an Interactive Video display. ( Take laser video and sound, mix it with computer graphics and control it with touch-panel or mouse ) Beta testers wanted. PILOT is an established language for this application.
