Your idea is a sound one. There is a need for homeowners(on the
higher end), builders, and developers to better understand what they're
building before they start. Consider using 3D Studio. I have only been
using it for three weeks now, and have already created an architectural
floorplan and walk-thru. It's rough, but its the beginnings.
My company, 3D Concepts, Inc., is one week old now. There's lots of
work, we've yet to see about the money.
Go with a 486/33 to start, if you can. You'll appreciate the power
and speed as your projects grow. Get as much ram as you can afford. This
forum has been alot of help to me. Stay in touch.
Michael, congratulations, and thanks for the reply. I am most
interested in hearing all about what has transpired in quest to self
employment. Who is your market? What's your location? The more
details you can give me the better an idea I may have in my own
instance.
Personally, I was hoping I could lease equipment before buying and do
some dry runs with the software and hardware to see what would
satisfy me most, but the problem is how do you lease software? Any
ideas?
I was thinking of marketing to real estate concerns, homeowners,
architects , maybe even setting up at a store in the local mall and
WOW everyone that passes by. And then attend home shows, building
shows, etc.
Michael is there any particular reason why you chose 3d-studio over
something else? Was it popularity, or recommendations that caused you
to go that route? Hope to hear from you soon….BCG
