Definitely check out AutoBASE, which is written by CYCO International.
It's a front-end program for AutoCAD, which lets the user view the file and
attach a rolodex-type card to it, with whatever information your network
administrator wants the user to have access to. The user then finds the
card he wants (via the viewer or the information) and launches AutoCAD.
When he's done editing, AutoCAD will exit and return the user to AutoBASE.
