#3D faces

Is BlockSOLID new in R11 ? I don't know what BlockSOLID is in german. Oh I
hate this german translation. It is so bad. Lots of typos and errors.

Chris,
BlockSOLID works in both R10 & 11. It is relatively new. We FINALLY got
our German ACAD and will be attempting to port it a couple weeks. We will
not attempt to make a "complete translation", but will just make sure that
it runs with the German Language AutoCAD.
As a part much of the analysis, it generates "data exchange file" to
interface with external "C" routines. On of these files is ALL of the face
entities (3D faces, P-face meshes & MxN meshes (r10 meshes)) that are
choosen. These "temp" files are erased during the commands execution, but a
"timely" CTRL-C or two would preserve these files.

Thanks. Is BlockSOLID a product? I thought it was a built in standard ACAD
command. –Chris
>> thought BlockSOLID was a command
Chris,
No, in fact BlockSOLID is a product designed, programmed and marketed by my
company Dynamic Technologies, of Burtonsville MD. BlockSOLID itself has
many command for operating on and getting information from AutoCAD surface
entities. Our latest release (which is almost de-bugged) has some neat
stuff like Surface Offsetting (SOFFSET), Surface Editting (SEDIT) and a
HELIX command for designing springs, worm gears, drills, tapered and twisted
wings, etc..
If you would like, I'd be glad to send'ya a brochure.

OK. Thanks. I was misunderstanding. I thought BLOCKSOLID was a built in
ACAD command :-). Yes you can send me a brochure. Send it to
