We have a problem with our HP 7600 240E which has been driving us and our
HP te tech crazy. We have multiple SPARCs plotting to this plotter and
whenever more te than one plot gets sent to the queue, the second plot get
a small line on it which is always the exact same length and location. We
have replaced the hard disk in the plotter but the problem remains. We use
the plotter in the 7586 Emulation mode and it is hooked up to a parallel
port on a SPARC. Any help w would be greatly appreciated.

John,
Have you tried the driver for the 7600? There are in-line and ADI versions
shipped with R11. If you are at R10 (your message doesn't say) there are
ADI 4.0 versions of the same driver available. The 7586 driver is HPGL
while the in-line and ADI drivers both are HP-GL/2 and should provide
significant performance increases. BTW, are you using Autospool?
