For most people who are wordprocessing, using the mouse needlessly slows down
input. WordPerfect has every single command replicated on the keyboard, with a
keyboard template. Excellence! has very few keyboard commands – in fact, the
simplest of word processing operations becomes a chore – deleting words,
paragraphs, lines etc.

I'll agree with that, with one noteable exception. When marking a block of
text for copy or cut, it is one HECK of a lot faster to
point/click/drag/release than it is to cursor up over THERE, hit Fm, then
cursor down over THERE and hit Fn.
