#3 New Adult CD-ROM Discs

Dave,
Will these work on a Mac?
Cheers, Al
Al,
Our CD Discs are ISO-9660 format. The whole idea behind ISO-9660
was that it would be a common format, readable by all operating
systems. All that is required for a Mac to read an ISO-9660 disc
is a program called Foreign File Access and a file for this program
called ISO-9660. These programs are distributed free by Apple and
are shipped with all CD-ROM Drives for the Mac.
Similar drivers exist for VMS and Unix. A Sun workstation with the
proper driver should be able to pop an ISO-9660 CD-ROM Disc into a Sun
CD-ROM drive and access all the GIF files as if they were stored on the
Sun's own hard disk.
All of the images (95%) are in (.gif) format, the .gif file can be
viewed & manipulated on Mac's, Amiga, IBM, & UNIX and is a universial
image format.
The animated graphics are Grasp (.gl) and Autodesk (.fli) would be
a problem since they are DOS programs, unless of course there is a
conversion program made for them. The .gl and .fli amount to about
5% of the total files on the CD discs.
I have file viewers available for UNIX to view .fli and .gl as well
as pkzip for UNIX.

Dave,
Hum. I'd suspect that the GIF files are the only thing that I might be
able to use then. I have the appropriate CD drivers, etc. How much of the
total disk is comprised of GIF files? What is the content of these GIFs?
Cheers, Al
Al,
Like I said in the last msg. 95% are .gif and as far as the contents go
more XXX than your wildest fantasies.
You won't be disappointed. ….Dave
Dave,
I noticed that there was quite a size difference between the 3 CD disks.
If I was to only buy one, should I choose the largest one? What would you
recommend?
Cheers, Al
Al,
2 or 3 just flip a coin, they both quite good.
