Does anyone know of a utility where I can convert a *.3ds mesh to a *.dxf or *.OBJ. Randale

InterChange Plus from Syndesis will do the job. Syndesis are on CompuServe.

If the problem is slightly different, as in "I don't have 3D Studio", then ???. If you just have one you need converted, I'd be glad to convert it for you if you would zip up the .3DS file and EMAIL it to me.

John, Yeah that's the problem. We are using Imagine and would like to import some Viewpoint .3ds models. We may just punt and get 3DS. I'll sure take you up on your offer later though, after our Viewp[oint models arrive. Randale

3DS is a great little utility to have around. <g> BTW, my Viewpoint catalog says they offer their datasets in the Imagine format as well as 3DS and about 50 other formats. ???
