Modula-2

I am quite interested in TDI's Modula-2. However, it seems that they are
offering two versions. (???) What's the difference between the versions? Does
anyone know how it compares with the speed of Lattice C? (their prices are
quite similar…)

Hi Wayne! I own TDI's Modula-2. The two versions that are sold are: vanilla
version (ion ($90) and developers version ($150). The developers version
includes sources for some of the utility modules, and sources of all
definition modules set up for Amiga (BTW do you know Modula-2????). The
compile speed is better than Lattice C. A "Print Hello" program compiles in
about 30-40 secs. Linking is about twice as fast as ALINK. The size of
executable is also significantly smaller (Hell program in Modula-2 is about
8K, and 6K with ALINK)…That's "Hello program"…… Hope this
helps….Richie B….if you'd like more info drop me a line…
