Here's the situation; we've got a network that we would like to plot through. We'd like to send .PLT files to the plotters through the network files server via a print spooler. Problem is we have two HP 7585B pen plotters, you know the ones that measure the size of the paper and talk back to AutoCad. Seems we can't send the files to the plotters for the handshake going on . . . It also seems that we should be able to process the .PLT files to remove the handshake code if we knew what code to remove. I've looked at the files, there ASCII code in HPGL language, Yes? What should I look for? Oh, and can you all recommend an editor that might act as a filter for that code? We've had real good results plotting to the network laser printer, a HP series II. Stuff looks real sharp guys, thanks for your help.
