Can anyone tell me a little about postscript language. I.e if I have a
postscript file created with Golddisk's Lasersetter, can I use that ascII
file to print to a postscript printer from an MS-Dos computer. I ask that,
because I do not have easy access to a laser printer or a dealer with an
Amiga connected to a laser printer. There is however print shops in the
area with Macs and IBM's hooked to laser printers. Any ideas? Thanks,

If you can get your ASCII Postscript file transferred to an Amiga or Mac
format disk, you can print it with no problem. My newsletter files go from
the A2000 to IBM 3 1/2" format to an IBM Postscript printer.

Thanks, Dave. Do you know how easy it is do transfer an ascII file via a
modem to a Mac? Also, Do this apply to graphics as well as text?

If you can get your ASCII Postscript file transferred to an Amiga or Mac

Postscript is ASCII, and I sent stuff from LaserWriter via modem to a MAC
and its LaserWriter printed it beautifully. Be sure to use one of the four
fonts for best results, and the clip art may show some jaggies. No reason
why it won't work to an IBM. Indeed, if the IBM has a 3.5 drive, you could
use DOS 2 DOS on the Amiga to write the file to an IBM formatted disk,
bring it to the IBM and print it right off. // JIM
