I'm looking for a Los Angeles-based person for approx 1 month project animating short segments for use in a large multi-media piece. Example: Showing the layering in the semi-conductor manufacture process. Good pay. Contact Steve (310) 827-0557 Thanks

Hi Steve, Let me think about this. Los Angeles, Al Gore, information super highway, telephone lines, modems, Federal Express, UPS Red, semi-conductors, hmmmmmmm? Just thought you might need talent instead of local avialability. I assume that you are looking for someone expert in 3DSr3 <g>. Why limit yourself to one market? Just some thoughts because there are a lot of talented people here on the forum not necessarily in the L.A. area. I am not a candidate because I will be picking up 3DSr3 for the first time in a few days. I am an expert six year TOPAS user who modems animations to clients who then render them at their site. The only suggestion that I would make to this scenario would be get LEADVIEW's image compression software that can successfully compress an image with no loss at a 10:1 ratio for texture maps that need to be modemed. A good 14.4 modem and you should be good to go. Just some thoughts, just some thoughts. Another source of talented freelance people is to get Bill Allen's published list from 3D Artist magazine. While you are there it might be worth getting a subscription to it. 3D Artist P O Box 4787 Santa Fe, NM 87502-4787 505 982 3532 Voice 505 820 6929 FAX Good luck!
