I really don't know what you can do if you can't set the wait state
of the card. Are you sure you can't set it via some software setup
program? If it is an ISA card, then maybe the problem is your bus is
running at some higher clock (16MHz) than standard ISA (8MHz)? See if
your bios setup program mentions this sort of thing. But really,
other than the wait state switch, I don't really have a clue about
what might be the problem.
