#Start an Amiga Dealer?
2 messages in this thread
Not being to happy with my current job situation, I've been thinking of
taking a big risk and either possibly taking over an existing Amiga
dealership or starting my own. Right now, I'm leaning towards starting up
my own but I have no idea what requirements there are to become an
authorized Amiga dealer set forth by Commodore. I'm looking for
information from anyone that might have it. Who would I need to talk to?
I know this is a risky endeavor but I'm willing to try. Despite the fact
that there are about five Amiga/Video Toaster dealers within a 40 mile
radius from where I live, I think I'd have a shot at doing reasonably
well. Only two of the five are Amiga specific and one of which is doing
quite well with Toaster sales while the other is an up/down situation (the
one that is up/down for possible sale).
Thanks a bunch for any information.
As a side note, glad to be back on CIS and see some familiar names again!

I would imagine that you'd do better as a clone/Amiga dealer. The
clone stuff will get people into the store but if you have some neat demo
runing on the Amiga you may be able to lure people to it. By the way,
where do you live that you have five dealers within 40 miles?
