#Icon/snobol/stuff
1 messages in this thread
Icon is almost done, the interpreter runs most Icon programs, just a few that
don't seem to run for any reason I can determine. I've just downloaded the
debugger from dl9 though, maybe it can tell me something, I've already been
reduced to putting calls to printf and other routines into the assembler code
to look at registers myself but it doesn't help much.
How's your friend, (I believe you said Bob Alexander?) coming with Icon or
snobol on the Macintosh? Is he using the SIL macro implementation of SNOBOL,
and if so where did he get a copy? I've been looking since last year, until
I found Icon and gave up. Have been collating all the Icon source and
printing it out on our laser printer here today, 28808 lines of source code
748409 bytes.
A little large to upload, but I don't really feel its quite done yet until I
can figure out the mysterious nonexecution of some programs. By the way,
just like on the Wicat and the SUN, Icon on the Amiga is a REAL memory hog,
can't wait for an 8 meg board, (even 2 would be nice.) Would like to hear
from Bob if he gets a chance, After Icon is finally running maybe it would be
nice to add a module of amiga functions to it, so we could do windows and
such. Maybe someone else, I'm worn out. Bye gary
