I have had the Insider now for over a year and have found it to be the most useful purchase I have made for my Amiga. Now I am trying to find a way to speed things up. The 68020 boards are out of my reach at present, so when I heard about the CMI processor accelerator I was excited. Then I found it fits in the 1000 the same way the Insider does. My question is, will the two work together as supplied, and if not, is there some modification that will make the combination work. thanks, mike.

Mike, Since I have never had a CMI accellerator board, I've not tested them together. If CMI designed the accellerator properly, (emulating a 7Mhz 68000 for buss access) then electrically they should work. I believe, however that they used some 'tricks' in order to boost performance, so it's very possible that they won't. Phyisicaly, there is very little room above the Insider for anything to be installed. I would think that the shield would have to be removed or modified. I would call CMI to see if they either tested the accellerator and the Insider together, or have heard from customers if they work. I know that I haven't heard of anybody having problems, but I haven't heard of anyone trying it either. -Dean
