Yo Yoster, I am experiencing a strange problem (obsolete problem that is, as I am STILL running r2.01a). I have a rather large sceen and I have created some text that was merged without any cameras, lights and animation. When I map a material to the text object it does not seem to take. That is to say no matter what type of mapping I use or what aspect or how I apply it, it always comes out the same. The material gets applied but I do not have any control over the mapping coordinates. Too weird. Any ideas what it is? I even re-lofted the text but I still get the same results. Thanks in advance for whatever kind of answer you may or may not have. Merlin G. Farmer Crystal Cave Animagix

I'm not sure what you mean by "I do not have any control over the mapping coordinates" or "it does not seem to take". Are you sure you're using a bitmapped texture? (Or are you using an sxp?) – G

Merlin, << coordinates don't seem to take>> Were the bitmaps breateed in anipro? I've seen confusion with individuals of AniPro not understanding that a small image created on the AniPro will not fill to fit in 3ds. Use a cell or scale the image up… FWIW. jonas[adesk]
