Is there an upgrade path to 3D Studio from either Animator Pro or AutoCad 12 ? Or does one have to go out and pay full price for 3DS ?

Paul – I moved your message to Section 10 "Shipping/Receiving". I can't speak for Autodesk but I can't imagine them offering to "upgrade" you from Anipro or R12 to 3DS. These are three distinct, functionally different programs. Kind of like asking Microsoft for an upgrade from Excel to Word… Dave

That's pretty much what Ithought, but I have to investigate all avenues before I report back that we have to spend $4000 (Canadian dollars) on a new rendering package. In the absence of any "upgrade" policy from dissimilar Autodesk products, I seem to recall once seeing an offer where Autodesk would give a price break on 3D Studio to users of other commercially marketed rendering packages (we currently use one called RenderStar from Modern Medium). Do you know if something of this nature might still be operating ?
