Speed? They're telling me to expect 70-80% of PC. I'm with you on the difference — 6800 vs 8088, so I'd expect to see it come in around 60-70%. There's A LOT of converting that's going to be going on. Their other comments are to expect full color and graphics. The DOS programs run as a task under AmigaDOS, therefore you don't have to have a copy of DOS to use DOS S/W. Since the DOS S/W runs as a task, several DOS windows can be open concurrently. And, I'm told, that the DOS S/W can be on either DOS or Amiga formatted disks. (Looking above, of course I meant 68000, not 6800). For anyone that might have picked up this thread in progress, let me state that what you see here is what SofTeam has TOLD me about their PC/ET. I HAVE NOT seen or used it. Finally, you may have heard some of the rumors I've heard about someone having made comments based on their beta testing of PC/ET. When I asked SofTeam about this, their comment was that ALL beta testing has been done in-house and that absolutely NO copies have been put into any kind of circulation. (I know, things always slide through the cracks, I'm just passing on what they said.).
