Advertising isn't the same as having it in stock. Commodore US is out of stock
and isn't planning on making any more 2.1's until 3.1 ships as far as I know.
We already found a source for our customers who can't find it here in the US.
We're importing them from a different Commodore office. 😉

I believe Commodore has stated something to the effect that 3.1 will
be made available for all machines. I believe Lou said to everyone at
one of the shows that it may not be called 3.1 for all machines, but
I haven't heard anything about this since.
I have absolutely no idea when 3.1 upgrade kits will be available. Commodore
hasn't made an announcement, so I couldn't tell you even if I knew. But I've
been told really soon by one person and could be ages from another.
But yes, 3.1 works just fine on a 3000 and other models.
