John, I am calling it a Dpaint Bug. Here is what happens. You cold boot the machine…run Silver, no problems. Now, either run Dpaint while Silver is up, or close Silver and then run Dpaint. So far, no noticeable problem with Dpaint working. Now, whith Dpaint running or not, reload Silver…you will lock up the system by selecting the VIEW menu in the editor. That doesn't prove that Dpaint is at fault yet. Ok, since the machine locked, warm-boot, and just run Silver, BOOM….same problem. Only way to 'fix' it is to cold-boot (turn machine off/on). Dpaint is the ONLY program that I know of that causes this lock-up. You could say that Silver has a problem, but all evidence points to Dpaint.

Sounds like either program is depending on something in the system that they shouldn't depend on. Has this behavior been noticed with any other program besides Silver?
