Great. Let me know how you like Synthia. You've got me beat, my PX-8 has an 8
line by 80 coulmn dispow I use the interlace mode and get a 48 by 80
display-much better.

P.S. (Though I'm still using that ^%$* 300 baud acoustic coupling modem that
they gave away with PX-8 [rather silly since it has it's own internal modem])
I'm a bit nervous about spending $70 on a program (Synthia) when I'm not
sure it will do what I want, but we'll see. I've also got to rig up a
circuit so I can record from the Amiga in stereo, and also feed a mono
signal to the monitor. I've ordered a telecom program (among other things)
from Amiga Public Domain Connection. It's been a month and four days,
they've cashed my check, but no software. I'm also getting nervous about
that! I need to make up a modem cable to connect the Amiga to my old Hayes
300 baud Smartmodem, which is now connected to my even older Heathkit H8.
All in all, I've got my work cut out for me! I rember reading about the
Epson PX-8 when they 1st came out, and wanting one. Doesn't it have a built
in cassette recorder, or am I thinking of another unit? -+WMS3+-. (PS-
I'll pass on my impressions of Synthia ASAP, maybe after the holliday.)
Walter, I ran a snippit on a mono/stereo adapter that does just what you
want in an earlier issue of Amazing Computing. Check your back issues and
you should be able to come up with it. It requires one DIN plug, one RCA
plug, and a short piece of shielded cable. Takes about ten minutes to put
it together. Hope this helps.
