Thanks John.
I hope that ASDG hasn't lost interest in 2000-in-1. I'd hate to hit a
dead end in hypercharging my A1000.
I guess we will see…
We had a demonstration from Bill's Boards on Sunday at the Amiga Friends
meeting of their expansion board for the A500 and A1000. It sells for US$499
and consists of a connection for the expansion connector, a couple of cables
going to a 'mother board' which has 6 Amiga slots and 5 IBM slots arranged
(if memory serves) with an overlap of 3 for a bridge card. When asked if they
also sold the enclosure they were using (AT Jr. box with power supply) they
pointed out that the same box/supply was readily available for less than
$200, so no they weren't selling it. This means that for less than $700 you
can get a powered expansion box for your A1000.
I should point out that the Bill's Boards expansion does NOT contain a
co-processor slot. It does NOT contain a video slot either. If you want
more info, I can upload some more details, but the literature isn't here
right now.
It also doesn't allow the Fat Agnes, which the 2000-n-1 is supposed to have.
I wonder how they're gonna do that.

2000-and-1 cannot possibly give you a fatter agnus. Sorry.

Please do uploading any information you have available. ASDG's
2000-in-1 also does not possess a video connection, but does have a
co-processor slot. Without the co-processor slot I would assume that it
would not be possible to upgrade to a 68020 or 68030. Still, real hardware
is better than vaporware <Perry hurry up and finish 2000-in-1 PLEASE>!
Thanks again Vic!

And if it uses cables to attach to the motherboard (as you said) it also
doesn't work.

We have every intention of producing the 2000-and-1. John was right though
in that we are spending most of our resources in the development and
marketting of our newest product, Twin-X. The 2000-and-1 though is not dead
and will come to market at some point in the future.
(now how about asking about something I can reply positively, like Twin-X,
huh?)
