Ken, Thanks for your response. It's always a pleasure to share info with fellow professionals. I talked with Grafx Computing today and the list price of GFX-CAD3000 is $619 at this time. You might want to wait to make your purchase until you get the XPRESS. It has reviews of all 3(yes, only 3) CAD programs that are now available: DynaCADD, GFX-CAD3000, and the only CAD program currently being supported with new code actually being written, this is PLANS3D by Gary Hale of Eugene, Oregon. This program does all your AutoCAD DXF export and import as well as 3d with hidden lines and all kinds of nice touches. PLANS3D lists for $250. I'm probably going to get it myself, soon! You should be able to disable the self running demo of GFX-CAD. I think you just elimiate a couple of lines from the s:startup-sequence and you can then manually draft. This program can grow to meet your needs for years to come. I'm still finding new ways to use it. The only gripe I have about DYNACAD is that it is slow! The larger the file you are working with the slower it gets in comparison to XCAD. BTW, XCAD is THE fastest vector drawing engine on the AMIGA. Anyway, I wish you luck with your choices and future projects. Keep us informed here on CIS! Tom Barker
