Could you please point me towards a VESA/ADI guru that can answer the following
question? I can't run ANI and therefore am not a happy camper.

UniVESA doesn't seem to recognize my Power9000 card. Does anyone know where I
can find a VESA TSR for cards based on the Weitek P9000 chip?
Phil:
Whose P9000 board are you using? Most boards either come with a VESA driver
or have one available for it. For example, the Diamond Viper has a utility
hidden away on one of its disks called VPRMODE. If you type VPRMODE VESA, it
loads its VESA driver.

Its a cheap clone that has no VESA driver. I found a driver that works
over in GO IBMHW called VPRVSE.ZIP thats shareware. The Diamond
driver, VPRMODE, realises its somebody elses BIOS and tells me to
piss off. Now my problem is that the ancient Multisync II on that
machine won't sync up to line rates the card is putting out and the
SETMODE program is baffling there are at least 20 options for various
frequencies and polarity settings. The manual for this multisync is
long gone so I'm hoping the author will contact me.
Phil,
You should be able to get a VESA TSR from the card manufacturer or possibly
Wietek. Are you really running the original Animator ???? It's of limited
resolution so if you are actually running it, and trying to get more than
320×200, you will have a problem. Animator Pro and 3D Studio are capable of the
higher resolutions.
