I was using Autosketch for Windows ver 1.0 and trying to create a drawing of a cabinet I was plannin to make. To create the drawing, I needed increments of 1/8 of an inch so I could accomodate the measurments of 1/8", 5/8", 1/2" etc. I could not discover how to do this by playing with the dimensions, grid and grid snap and units settings. Can Autosketch be setup to accomodate a drawing with such smll measurefments? I am pretty sure it can as I saw the sample drawings of the mountain bike. It would be helpful if you could steer me to the part of the reference manual that would tell me how to do this. Also, after I set up my dimensions, grid and units settings, is there a way I can draw a line length without first having to calculate the distance from the beginning of the dimensions area to start my line. For example if I have dimensions of 10' by 10' and I need to draw a line 8 feet long, the tutorial indicated I should go 1 foot from the left side of the dimension area and start my line. This means that when I am reading the distance coordinates, for my 8 foot line, I would select the end point at 9' to get a 8 ' line. I want to measure the line distance from the beginning point of the line, not the beginning point of the dimension area. Otherwise there is too much confusion in making calculations.
